JAKE & SARAH: WASHINGTON, DC LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY
I don’t suffer from triskaidekaphobia, but when Sarah and Jake reached out to me for a lifetsyle photography sessiion in Washington, DC on Friday, the 13th, for a moment I did wonder just how it might go. As it turned, all went well and the session turned out to be one of my favorites. In the end, some would even say we were fortunate, blessed with good luck. In a city constantly brimming with tourists, we felt like we had Washington, DC all to ourselves.
More about that.
We met on a bright, brisk cold afternoon on The National Mall in Washington, DC. The plan was to use the city as a backdrop for images of Jake and Sarah. But with driving winds and temperatures in the low teens, we made the decision that our best move would be to head indoors-but where? Those who know me won’t be surprised that I chose The East Wing of The National Gallery of Art- IM Pei’s gem of modern architecture. As the sun faded, now done with the interior images, we moved outdoors for a quick series at the The Lincoln Memorial. In the end, we had pink cheeks and some great images of Jake, Sarah and the city of Washington.
